The national monument or Monas is a 137-meter high tower in Central Jakarta symbolizing the fight for Indonesia's independence. On the top there is an observation deck, which offers wonderful views of the city. At the very top of the monument is "Flame of Independence" is a sculpture in the form of fire, covered in real gold, whose weight was 33 kg.
