Carrion crow (Corvus corone). The blue film half across the eye is a nictitating membrane, the equivalent of our eyelid. This black carrion crow has landed on the corner stone of a bridge. Crows are usually nervous around people, and are sensitive to having metal objects pointed towards them. This one did not mind a 400mm lens, however.
